Local Nature Recovery Strategies

Creating, using and monitoring Local Nature Recovery Strategies are an important new requirement as instructed by the Environment Act (2021). With policy and guidance training, Natural England commended co-created strategy and LNRS measure delivery planning against available funding sources, making Nature Data Solutions well-placed in the new world of LNRSs. Projects include:

Co-creation of the Isle of Wight Local Nature Recovery Strategy was commended as an 'exemplar' by the statutory body panel (2025).

Advise and guidance across the whole LNRS process for other regions.

Policy Review and Alignment

Comprehensive review of latest policy developments and opportunistic links to support project delivery and contribute to key UK and global targets.

Spatial Planning and Strategy

Using an array of publicly available geospatial data to help inform decision-making around planning and multi-use land use. Developing methods employed for the LNRS, to use in new contexts and land use frameworks.
